U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments on vaccine mandates
The Supreme Court this month heard arguments on whether the White House can impose mandates requiring large employers to have their workers vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo testing to detect the virus.
The New York Times reported that during Jan. 7 arguments conservatives on the court appeared to be skeptical the Biden Administration has the authority to impose that mandate.
The newspaper said justices appeared more likely to permit another mandate requiring vaccinations for workers at healthcare facilities receiving federal funds.
CNN said a ruling on the mandates could come relatively quickly.
