Job postings requiring COVID-19 vaccinations are on the rise
The number of job postings requiring applicants be vaccinated against COVID-19 is on the rise, according to a report released this month by the hiring site Indeed.
The Indeed Hiring Lab says that in the first week of August, the number of postings per million that specifically require applicants be vaccinated against COVID-19 has risen 34 percent from the same period in the previous month. Job postings that generally require vaccination but may not explicitly specify COVID-19 shots are up 90 percent in the first week of August compared to the previous month, the hiring site says.
Jobs requiring vaccination are still just a small fraction of the overall postings, Indeed notes.
Still, the number of jobs requiring vaccinations are rising sharply including in sectors that didn’t typically require vaccinations, including software, accounting, retail and marketing, Indeed says.
