Supplemental federal unemployment benefits extended

Legislation that President Joe Biden is expected to sign into law will extend federal supplemental unemployment benefits through Sept. 6, 2021.

Those supplemental benefits will remain at their current level of $300 per week, according to our colleagues at SESCO Management Consultants.

The first $10,200 of federal supplemental unemployment benefits will not be taxed for households with annual incomes of less than $150,000, the firm notes.

SESCO Management Consultants continues to monitor developments related to the pandemic in its COVID-19 Resource Center and will post updates new information becomes available.
