OSHA developing rule for paid time off for vaccinations

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is drafting a rule requiring private employers with 100 or more employees to provide paid time off for their workers to get vaccinated, the White House announced this month.

That paid leave will also be available to employees who need time to recover if they feel ill after receiving their vaccine shots, the White House says.

President Joe Biden’s Administration announced the upcoming vaccine-related paid leave rule while unveiling a series of vaccine mandates.

Among those is a requirement that private employers with 100 or more employees have to ensure their workforces are fully vaccinated or have unvaccinated employees undergo weekly testing.
