Handling employee religious objections to getting vaccinated

Any employer requiring workers to get vaccinated will inevitably have to contend with employees who object to getting inoculated based on religious grounds, notes our colleagues at SESCO Management Consultants.

In weighing an employee’s objection, the key thing to keep in mind is that an employee must be objecting to getting vaccinated based on a “sincerely held religious belief,” SESCO says, adding that religious beliefs don’t include political and social philosophies or mere personal preferences.
