Gallup: Remote work trend continues

The Gallup organization said this month that nearly half of full-time U.S. workers it polled reported working remotely in September.

About 45 percent of workers said they worked from home, with 25 percent of employees saying they worked remotely the entire time and another 20 percent saying they worked remotely part-time last month, Gallup says.

About 9 out of 10 remote workers indicated they want to continue working remotely to some degree, Gallup reported.

The polling outfit says the proportion of employees polled who work remotely is unchanged from recent months, suggesting that return-to-work plans for many companies remains on hold.
